Volunteers Needed: BPGC Booth at Hats Off Day

The Burnaby Heights Merchants Association will be having the Hats Off Day on Saturday June 1, 2024. This year’s theme is “Once Upon A Time”. Our church has applied for a booth and has been approved to participate.

  • Purpose: To care for our neighbours and share the love of the Lord
  • Date: June 1, 2024 (Saturday)
  • Time: AM shift for our booth is 9:00am-12:30pm, PM shift is 12:15pm-4:30pm (see booth volunteer sign-up QR code below)
  • Booth Location: Near the fountain, just south of the intersection of Ingleton Ave and Hastings Street.

Additional information:

Although the booth setup time is officially 9:15am -10:15am, if we need to drop off our material and gear by vehicle, we have to do it before 8:15am with a Special Event Pass. Therefore, if we find enough people to deliver them on carts or by hands (As the booth is not too far away from our church), we do not need the AM shift to come as early as 7:30am.

The street festivities will be from 10:30am – 4:00pm. Our booth clean-up must be between 4-5 PM for the street to re-open at 5PM. If brothers and sisters signed up for the AM shift, they can park theirs cars at BPGC.

Also, please note that Hastings Street is closed to public traffic from 7:30am to 5pm on that day.
