Vital Signs: Gospel Extended to Europe

Here are the worship songs selected by our worship team for this week:

Scripture: Acts 16:6-40

Sermon and Announcements:

Sermon Discussion Questions:
1. Paul and his companions wanted to go to Bithynia to reach a few cities for God, but the triune God wanted to give Paul Europe.
a. Have you ever experienced closed and open doors? What were those experiences like? Were you obedient?
b. The Holy Spirit led Paul and Silas to a new continent. How have you allowed the Holy Spirit to lead you to places that require trust and faith in Him alone?

2. Lydia’s conversion was easy. The Lord opened her heart and she believed.
Share an experience where you shared the gospel with someone and they were very receptive.

3. Have you ever encountered persecution for your faith before? Please share.

4. When Paul and Silas were beaten and thrown into prison, they were singing and praising God at midnight.
a. If you were in that situation, what would your first reaction be?
b. Would you question God and complain, or praise Him?

5. Sovereignty is the belief that God is in control and God is going to cause every circumstance to turn for His glory and for our good and our ultimate joy in the end.
How have you trusted in this statement?

6. The jailer was most unlikely to receive Christ and yet he did.
Please share an experience where you share Christ with the most unlikely person. What was his/her/their response?

7. Both Lydia and the jailer showed transformation in their conversion.
What would you say are the areas where God has transformed you?
