Several months ago, the English pastoral search committee received an application from Brother Ryan McDonald for the position of English pastor. After the first interview with him, the English pastoral search committee decided to propose him to the deacon board. After three further meetings with Ryan by the deacon board and Pastor Enoch, they feel Ryan is enthusiastic, mature, and respectful to Chinese culture. He understands and accepts our model of development of two ministries (CM/EM) under one roof. After a period of discussion and prayer, the deacon board has agreed to accept Brother Ryan McDonald as an English pastoral candidate. A lunch meeting with Ryan and his wife is set for next Sunday, June 5, from 1:00-3:00pm to let congregation to get to know them better and seek for God’s discernment together.
